We went on a Friday night. The crowd was mostly middle aged but there were a few younger people that came towards the end of the night. They had a live singer/guitar duet that were surprisingly good (I'm typically biased against live music in bars). Bar tenders were very nice and attentive to everyone. We played darts and pool, they had the phillies on and had an outside seating area. We ordered two versions of their chicken sandwiches, definitely recommend it. Overall we had a good night it's a very relaxed bar with a mix of ages.

Love the atmosphere food is always interesting and consistent - fantastic craft beer - love the patio outside. There's something for everyone here. It's kid friendly, but still a great place to go for happy hour.

We've been here at least 5 times and it keeps improving. They just introduced a new menu. Good selection of fresh and healthy food. Plus some fun things too. Try the fish tacos. Very Tasty. The bar has a great craft beer selection and they pour a good drink as well. Very friendly staff behind the bar too.

All you can eat bbq was flavorless and boring drinks were made poorly not a good experience would not eat here again for the price and flavorless food

Always a great spot, food, and drinks. I like the idea of featuring a state each week, and with a snapshot of the food from that region! Steve, get a Liberty card, like the old Benigans beer around the world card. The Liberty Union card though would have frequent diners attempt to fill card with a visit during each week of a featured state! Have you considered our colonies our Caribbean colonies too! Cheers

This place is great!! The service is fantastic and all of the bartenders and servers are super friendly. The food is really great too! The liberty union burger is one of the best I've had. The black bean burger is great as well and they accommodate my requests to put a billion toppings on it every time. They have live music pretty frequently, an outdoor seating area, and a pool table. I go there almost every time I'm in Chester Springs and always have a good time.

I've had probably 5 meals here and I like it. Service and food have both been good. Not sure what the haters on here are on about. I'm going back again tonight.

Complainers love to complain. There's a great beer selection, my hamburger was great, but the waitstaff was a bit lacking, but all and all, great time. And my apartment is close by, making the aroma very alluring. I love this place!

The complimentary tater tots are really wonderful and our meals were pretty good. I got the California Wrap and my husband got a bowl of tomato soup and quesadillas. Nothing really special happening here, but I would go again for some casual pub grub.

Fish tacos are consistently awesome! Kids Mac and cheese is way too cheesy. All you can eat crab was also great. Keep up the good work!!

We have tried so hard to make Liberty Union our neighborhood go-to place. It's right around the corner from where we live and one of the few casual bar/restaurants in the area. The burgers and fries are great and they have a nice pulled-pork sandwich, but after that, it's as hit and miss as target shooting blindfolded. Much of the food and preparation of the food is consistently wrong. Meals come out with the wrong sides; appetizers come out after the entrees; and don't bother asking for salad dressing on the side. They either don't or you don't get dressing at all. The food rarely seems cooked properly and the chicken, especially in the salads, seems one step above jerky. And then there's the volume. We often eat in the bar which has a better vibe than the Soviet bloc style dining room. They frequently have bands, and whether it's a solo artist or a trio, the volume is cranked up beyond loud, especially for that acoustic cover band style that's usually there. Understand, my motto is, "If it's too loud, you're too old," but that's for a concert or my stereo, not for dinner and conversation. We have given Liberty Union dozens of chances and because of something going wrong, I have been comped meals and drinks there more than every other restaurant I've ever been to, combined. There are some nice people there, including some of the bartenders and the overly young waitresses who nevertheless try hard, but it's not enough.

This is a great place to go in the summer and winter! There's a cute little deck to sit out on in the summer and its a large enough place in the winter so you don't feel to crowded. The food is great! The atmosphere is fun. It feels clean. One time we went and the power went out due to a bad storm. We ordered all you can eat crab and they kept bringing it out for as long as they could. The service even during the power outage was fantastic!

I give this 3 stars for the bar area. Good selection of beers on tap. Good happy hour. And good entertainment from time to time. The entrees that I have ordered in the past have not been that great. Poor lighting makes it hard to determine the wellness of meat, but I have gotten some very undercooked entrees before and have had to send them back to the kitchen.

This place is close to home, so we naturally find ourselves here fairly often. The menu was uneven early on, but it's gotten stronger over time. Good atmosphere (we like the bar area) and they have great live music on weekends. I'm not a craft beer guy, but I know many who are and the tap selection is strong. The fact that we keep coming back says a lot--if it wasn't good, we simply wouldn't. Parking is not great, but that's only because it's busy and hey, it's not exactly a hardship to cross the street. We'll keep coming to LibU.

We traveled thru Chester Springs and stopped at Liberty Union Bar & Grill for Dinner. We had to wait a few minutes for an available table and waited out on the deck... Service was quick to get us some well drafted beers (and cokes for our sons). Once seated, we ordered CAP'N Crunch Chicken Tenders to share as appertizers...Despite the negative comments here, they were indeed crunchy, juicy inside and a hit with our kids. Maincourse some good Classic American burgers for the kids... my wife had a wrap, I had the Butcher Burger. Here again, nothing really to complain about! We had no dessert, but I am certain, it would have hit the mark, too! With that being said, we would recommend the Grill, the experience was really satisfactory!

Liberty Union is close by & we'd been there a couple times before so after a rough day at work we decided to go there on a Wednesday evening. Our waitress was very friendly. We got the complementary tator tots with dipping sauce, they were good. I ordered the chicken sandwich with portabella shroom & Brie cheese, this is where it went downhill! The chicken was horrible, tasted and felt like rubber! Yuk!

We went for dinner on a Tuesday night when there was no wait for a table. We were seated immediately but unfortunately the waitress never came back. After waiting for 25 minutes, we left. The hostess who seated us didn't even recognize that we had never been served and said to us "I hope you enjoyed your meal" as we were leaving. We live not far from this restaurant and we won't be back. There are other options in the area where you might actually get to eat a meal. Based on reviews that complain about long waits for service, if this place doesn't get their act together they will not be in business long. I am guessing we will get a meal at the next restaurant to open in this space after this one closes!

Pro-tip: If you open your restaurant for lunch, assume people are under a time constraint! Went there and left after 10-15 minutes of being ignored/neglected. Menu looked pricey for what you are getting (add $4.50 for chicken with your salad!). The building has poor noise absorption and is loud even during lunch. Will not return.

My mom and I ate here this evening and I was less than impressed. The complimentary tots were good, although the sauce was not good. My mom got the ribs and I think she pulled out more tough bits than she ate. I had the Mac and cheese which was really gross. I'm pretty sure it was a doctored version of velveeta- with the added bonus of slimey onion slices. There may have been as many onions as there were macaronis. The only thing decent here was the space and our waitress!

I must demote this establishment, based on a more recent visit. Together with a party of six, I had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was an enchilada special. Absolutely horrid. The chicken was so dry and tough I was concerned it would slice a hole in my innards on the way down. A quick poll of the table -- all six of us -- rendered scores from "meh" to "retch" (that one was my long suffering wife's). I'm sorry. The IPA was good, and the server made an effort; but the food was absolutely atrocious.

My running parters and I gathered for a 6 month chat fest. We sat in the bar area and had exceptional service. The bartender was willing to give me shotglass samples of a couple of the beers and found 2 that I really liked. All of us ordered the tomato soup and were very pleased. Unfortunately the soup was filling so none of us were able to finish off the main course. I was very happy with my pulled pork sandwich. Prices were pretty good. For a total bill of $60, the 3 of us left very happy. I know a previous reviewer received poor service but I will say that we had exceptional service on our visit. Maybe Kate was there on a bad night or we may been there on an exeptional night for service.

First time here for a family dinner. Food was very good. Kids ordered penne pasta and grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese was cooked perfectly, crisp and buttery. The tomato soup was very good. Actually something I would order for lunch for myself. Grown ups had wings and they were also cooked well. My Liberty Union burger was cooked to perfect medium temperature and the fried egg was killer. Only complaint is the bacon could have been crispier. Wife had the French onion soup and a salad. Soup had good flavor, salad was fresh. Overall, service was good and we were seated right away on a Friday night at 5:30pm. We will definitely come back.

Don't go here, this place is the worst. Ordered the Cap'n Crunch chicken strips, they were awful and the Capn Crunch taste was bland due to the poor frying of the chicken. Not good. Ordered a steak, asked for it to be rare. Came out almost well-done. Manager on duty only agreed to recooking it (which took another 15 minutes) and then refunding half of the meal. I didn't quite feel like that was enough given the fact that I had to sit there while my friends ate. Neither of them had food they thought was good either. Definitely won't be back here.

I made plans to catch up with my homie who works in Elverson (where?) over lunch this past Monday. We discussed places halfway between my home base in Phoenixville and his work and were coming up empty. He suggested Liberty Union which he said he'd had beers at but hadn't yet dined. When you're literally the only two customers it's nearly impossible to receive substandard service and, thankfully, we weren't in the minority. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. I opted for the Carolina Pulled Pork with a side of veggies ($8.75!) He chose the Chicago Hot Beef with tater tots ($9.75!) Jeff pretty much picked at his meal - not a good sign. Because I hate to see food go to waste I glommed his tater tots which I thought were quite good - not greasy or frozen tasting - but my CPP was far too heavy on the vinegar and it literally made me gag. LU is very nice - all hardwood and very modern and still with the "new place smell" (e.g. paint); the owner has clearly put a ton of money into this place which sits in the middle of nowhere. This explains the high price points ($7.50 for fried pickles? $7.50 for soft pretzel twists?) which don't come close to being justified by the quality of food. Other Yelpers seem to agree. If for some strange reason I'm in the area I wouldn't mind checking out the bar scene - which my buddy said is pretty lively - but that's a massive "if". They need to either upgrade their menu execution, adjust their prices, or some combination of both to ensure their survival.

After seeing other reviews now I'm upset since we didn't get any complimentary tater tots! Actually three stars is about right though. Cheesesteak spring rolls and cap'n crunch tenders were good but they are fried things so if they screwed up those stars would be less. Perhaps next time I'll try an entree and ask about those tots.

Very good cajun blue cheese burger and salad at the bar. Fries were excellent as well. They had a good variety of microbrews on the taps. The bartender was attentive and friendly. As others noted, the vibe was lacking, but that may change over time as the place is broken in a little more. Some of the interior walls should be removed in my opinion. Prices are a bit steep for casual dining. This may be the determining factor of whether or not it becomes a regular spot or a place to go a few times per year.

I was hopeful when this place first opened and had a couple nice dinners here, but things gradually seem to have gone downhill. I hope they are not in trouble and can turn it back around but I've watched the food quality slip away and after the latest visit its safe to say it was my last. Always friendly staff, nicely decorated. Good luck LU.

Amazing craft beer list and new ones to try every week. I've been to Liberty a few times each month since they opened. Great place for catching up with friends, quick dinner with kids (kid menu is MUCH more kid-friendly now), and beers with the guys during Monday/Thursday night football. I've heard from a few friends that they don't like the food that much but I haven't had a bad meal. In fact I enjoy the American Pub cuisine as a treat when we done here. My faves: Tater tots!! Philadelphia Pretzel Twists Liberty burger Chicago Hot Beef The salad with Chicken and Apples (can't recall name right now) Servers have always been great and the bar staff is awesome. Strike up a conversation next time your seated at the bar. Enjoy!!

Our first trip out to Liberty Union Bar & Grill was a complete success. I echo the commentary about the beer list. It was great to see a thoughtful variety of craft beers - especially so many local beers. The cocktail list wasn't quite as good but still respectable. While I usually keep to classics, I splurged on the Poinsettia Martini (hey, it's the holidays!). My one concern was that it might be too syrupy or cloyingly sweet as tends to be the case with "specialty" cocktails - not at all. It was spot on. I really enjoyed it. The food was good. Would I call it super? No. But good. I had a salad for an entree - it was prepared nicely - but could have used an alternate side (the bread wasn't great). The kids menu was suitable (I'd love to see a couple of healthier side options like fresh fruit) and my kids had no complaints. My complaint about the menu is that the focus on a state seems gimmicky and confuses the flow of the menu. We were there for Nebraska - and I didn't see anything Nebraska about the specials. Our server was terrific - very attentive and friendly. Overall, we had a great time. We'll definitely be back.

Love the complementary tator Tots. The tomato soup is good but I was pissed to see that the fried mozzarella in it didn't even have any cheese inside. It was just fried breading. I used to look forward to that in the soup the most but now I won't go back.

This was our first visit and we tried it in spite of the poor reviews. We were NOT disappointed!! The food was fantastic - so much so we were finishing each others plates. I had make your own burger and the roll was wonderful, the burger was nice size and cooked to perfection and the fries were yummy too. He had chicken fried steak with a fantastic breading and smashed potatoes that were some if the best I ever had! (Notice I said HIS potatoes were the best I ever had lol I couldn't keep my fork from his plate). Top it off with a great selection of a microbrews and an ever better server/bartender JJ who was quick to offer suggestions and let us try beers. Needless to say we will be leaving VERY HAPPY! (Yes we r still here!) A new regular stop for us that's for sure!!!

Been there three times and sat at a table in the bar area every time. Food is typical burger fare you expect at a place like this. On the good side. Good beer selection. Nothing exceptional to note, good or bad.

Located on the site of a former Blockbuster, this is a very nice bar and grill near Ludwig. The terrace over-looks the street and gives the casual drinker a good view of the traffic. Very clean interior and competent staff.

I realize it's only been opened for a few weeks but we left disappointed over all. Had a 6:30 PM reservation. Walked in and were seated immediately. Good start. However, that's about the only thing good we experienced. Our waiter greeted us and took our drink order. Since we have 3 kids we decided to order appetizers at the same time - we ordered 2, Buffalo Wings and Tater Tots. The drinks took a little longer than expected but that's not unusual with kids drinks. What was unusual was the fact that at 7:19 PM, 45 minutes after ordering, we still had NOT received our appetizers. I asked our waiter several times (3 I think) over the 45 minute wait where our food was and kept being reassured that the kitchen was backed up but it was coming. Finally after 45 minutes I called him over and told him to just cancel the appetizers and concentrate on getting us our entrees instead. Not one minute after he left the table to cancel the appetizers our entrees magically appeared at the table. This left us wondering what would have happened had we not canceled the appetizers. Would they have come at all? Would everything had come at once? Who knows? The entrees were fair at best. The Chicken fried steak was small and the "vegetable of the day" which accompanied it was nothing more than sliced roasted red pepper and greens - this for $18. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was very spicy (mustard I think) and overly seasoned with vinegar. My oldest daughter couldn't eat it. and when my wife tried it she could't blame her. Worst of all was the fact that the CHILD's Mac & Cheese was $10.50. Come on, it's Mac & Cheese! When the manager came by to ask how things were we explained "not so great." Other than a short apology and a brief explanation that indeed there was some "issue" in the kitchen she simply offered to make sure we weren't charged for the appetizers - as if that might be an option. When the bill came I did notice a comp. for $8, the cost of the single glass of wine my wife had. I think given the situation she could have done more for us. The place looks great. They obviously spent a ton of money making it look so good. The menu looked great too but the execution wasn't up to par. We'll probably give it one more shot but will certainly wait a few more weeks to allow them to get over their obvious opening pains.

We went on their first Saturday night for drinks and dinner to get the full experience. Their bar area, drinks, beers, and "bar food" offering were excellent, standard but excellent. Their wings are about as good as they get and their beer selection was decent, with the high light being the canned "Mama's little Yella Pils", be sure to have one. Lots of TVs, good amount of bar space and high tops. As a bar/hangout it's a solid 4 star. When it finally came time to sit down and eat at about 9 they were out of alot of random things, such as french fries, wraps, etc. We ordered a burrito and it came on a hamburger bun....just not quite up to par. In my very unprofessional opinion, it seems like this was opened a couple of weeks too early before they were really ready for a launch. I will revisit this restaurant and hopefully by then the kinks have been worked out! If it hadn't been for the bar experience, this would have been a 2 star unfortunately. One neat thing is that they text you when you're table is ready, glad to see someone is embracing technology!

Went for lunch to try out this place that has been open for several months. We were told about the "state of the month" specials as well as the special beer. Having never heard of the beer, we were offered a sample. Good job...it sold us on that. Our foursome had a variety of entrees including one of the best burgers with a fried egg on top. Reminded me of Germany. Pulled pork sandwich and Hot Brown were also very good. Nice sized entrees with good fries and sides. Nice waitress, very friendly and prompt. We liked this place a lot. We will go back

Good food and beer selection. Service was good. The place lacks a vibe. We felt isolated and not connected with the dining experience. Didn't care for the layout Place was dead at lunch. Needs a more open floor plan based on type of restaurant. A little pricey also. Tried it once and won't go back unless there are major changes. We prefer Victory. Trying to be a Brickside Grille but not quite there.

Went last night earlier than we usually go out on a Friday night...so when we sat at a table we checked out the menu and also noticed the tent card on the table. The card indicated happy hour specials between 5-7. Although we were going to order dinner the happy hour included drink and appetizer special discount pricing. We're in! So we let our server know what we wanted. We were then told happy hour prices were only good for those in the bar - about 20 feet away from us. Sure enough, looking back at the tent card - there it is in small print on the bottom right. So let's get this straight. We are sitting twenty feet away from people who are ordering the exact same items and paying much less?! Management decided to reward those who stand in the bar and order only alcoholic beverages and a select group of appetizers versus those that sit in the dining room who will order those same beverages, appetizers, and a whole lot more - entrees and possibly dessert!? This is so illogical and counterintuitive to a good customer experience. Never penalize a customer!!! Upon complaint to the manager who was working behind the bar (note here - Lower pricing in bar area only was not driving the crowd so much that he was too busy to spare us a moment) we were told pricing this way was " industry standard". Needless to say, we left without ordering anything and will not be back. Went to the Drafting Room and had excellent meals and service. Note this was not our first visit to Liberty Union...we have been many times and experienced good food and service. However, with ridiculous policies like this and management not being open to seeing the situation from the customer's perspective we will spend our money where it is appreciated. Update @ 12/10/2012 To be clear we relayed to the person at the hostess stand the following - we simply requested the owner to contact us and why.Yes, this was done in a firm manner but by no means hostile. We specifically stated that we had no issue with the person we were speaking with in any way and it was a policy matter that the manager had not addressed to our satisfaction. No one properly trained in how to handle customer complaints should have been in tears over what transpired. We also left a small tip for our server, since we had been seated and it was not his fault we were leaving. We have also returned to the Drafting Room, which does indeed have a separate TAPROOM (with it's own entrance) and does offer Happy Hour specials. However, we specifically asked the manager if he would honor the happy hour prices in the restaurant were a customer to make that request and he unequivocably answered "yes". Our review was posted because we specifically did not feel we were being listened to and we still believe this to be true.

Momma Mia, poppa pia, daddy's got the diarrhea!! I was excited to check this new joint out, but left abruptly and disappointed. Here is my assessment: One star for drinks and beer selection. Had to send my burger back (something I've never done) as it was as red as a stop sign....stop, dont eat, this meat is raw! Service was....self service. Had a 7.30 reservation and had to ask to be seated at 8, as no one came to get us when a table was ready. Overall disappointed - good place to get a beer, but food and service need improvement. Hopefully, they will.

Went for an early dinner last week. I will say that the parking is horrible. It's a very small lot with no room, we ended up having to park in the Acme lot....not a good start to the experience. The service was good, but the food started out on a bad note. We ordered the shrimp skewer appetizer for $12. It came out, with 2 skewers of 3 shrimp which were WAY overcooked to the point of being inedible. Even if the shrimp were awesome, they still wouldn't be worth the money. We complained to the server and they ended up removing them from the bill. We were very apprehensive after that... We then tried the chicken finger appetizer, which was delicious. Crispy and tasty chicken fingers with a yummy dipping sauce. Then our sandwiches came out, which were delicious. We got the Chicago Beef and the Hot Brown, both of which were very good. For sides we tried the waffle fries and the baked beans (one of my favorites from the meal!)

Nice servers. I liked the menu, but the food isn't prepared all that great. I read about the fries being good, and they were. The bar scene is pretty nice. They had a guy playing guitar and cover songs, which was very entertaining. The design of the place is a bit odd, and they could open it up more if they took out some walls but overall I thought it was a decent bar with decent pub food. I'd go back for sure.

Went here tonight for dinner and I was very pleasantly surprised on how great it really was! My friend and I went in for dinner and we were politely greeted by the friendly host who took us to our table. This decor in the place was awesome. It felt like it was a restaurant but when you walk towards the back there is an open spacious bar with many different places to sit, also in the back room there is a pool table and a dart board. What a great place to chill with some friends. Our server was great, she mentioned to us about the featured state of the week they do each week and we decided to try the clam strips and they were great!!! They even gave you the option of two different sauces. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed everything. I had a burger and my friend had the Mac and cheese and it was to die for. My burger came out perfect temperature. When I decided to get a drink I wasn't sure what to get so I asked our waitress what she liked and she had mentioned to me the pumpkin pie martini and boy I don't think I have ever had a better martini!! It was amazing!! If you go here def give that a try because it is the best! They have a great selection of beer as well and they seem to change the beers frequently which is pretty cool. Also, they have a Sunday brunch with an all you can eat style buffet and I went one time and it was great! Such a good selection to offer for breakfast and they even had a build your own omelette. Seems like a great place to host a happy hour party or a work party because everyone is super friendly and the place seems great esp. Since they have live music on the weekends. If your local to the area give it a try because it's a great place to relax and catch up with friends or just go in with the family for a quick dinner! Will be returning here for sure!!

In a town where such restuarants are scare, it is a welcome sight. the 20% off coupon in Clipper helped us choose. My wife loved the veggie wrap, my Louisville Hot brown was good. Kids choices where good, beer selection decent. Overall, I agree with others about lack of vibe but it was a decent experience dining-wise. medium wings were spicy!

Hard to believe this space was once a Blockbuster. They did a great job as the bar area is huge, there's a nice outdoor seating area as well as two decent sized dining rooms. This is a local restaurant made to look like a chain. Can't fault the logic in this thinking. The masses think chains put out good food on a consistent basis. In other words - you know what you are getting. (Can someone please tell me why ANYONE would go to a chain like Bubba Gumps or TGIFridays in places like Las Vegas or NYC when there are so many choices?) I suppose the free tater tots with a spicy ranch dressing everyone gets once seated is supposed to be that nice starter that tells patrons you are about to get more for your dining experience at Liberty Union. Unfortunately, these tasted straight out of the frozen bag Mom used to serve up when you were a kid. We hardly touched them but it was a nice try. Better than bread? Not sure. For dinner we each started with soup. My girlfriend got the Tomatoe soup with pesto and cheesy crisp. Delicious. I had the onion soup and it was good. Not the best I've had but it was tasty. She had the Mac and cheese. The onions were peculiar and the cheese was more to the Kraft Mac experience - thinner not thicker. It was no where as good as the Jones version we had earlier in the week. I had some buffalo wings and was not impressed. These were the smallest wings I've ever had. Had to be frozen beforehand and dropped in frier from a bag. Taste was fair. We split a Caesar salad. It was fair. She had a glass of Chardonnay and I had this new old fashioned bourbon drink with Red Bull that was disgusting. Service was generally good. In reflecting on our overall experience, I expected more. If you try to appear as a chain yet are a local family run place, your food should offer the WOW factor a chain never delivers. That bar isn't hard to clear. Liberty has some work to do to get over it.

Had a wonderful dinner at liberty with our kids. We started with the tuna app and the tater tot app. We had to stop ourselves from eating too much of it to save room for dinner. For dinner I had the beet salad. Very fresh and flavorful. My husband had the fish tacos. Excellent. My children had the ribs, chicken salad wrap, and shrimp scampi. They are typically quite picky and all ate their meals and proclaimed them to be very good! We sat in the front dining room and enjoyed the live music playing in the bar. The beer list was amazing. We had a wonderful ipa. Great experience!

We had dinner here tonight and we were very pleased. I was disappointed that the menu was as small as it was. That isn't a bad thing I was just undecided on what I wanted. I asked about their "state of the week" special. This week it was Nebraska and they were out. I went with the wings and I was happy I did. The flavor was called the bee sting. I would recommend this one to anyone who is a wing lover. My wife has the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. She really enjoyed that as well. We shared the fried pickles. Not a fan of that anywhere but this was pretty good. We would come back here again and probably will soon. My recommendation on the menu would be expand the wing choices (but I will say that about any place). I would add one or 2 more things to the dinner menu. The service was great and everyone was friendly.

This place was pretty busy. The food was good but the service needs help. We were here after my Goddaughter's graduation & our food came out in parts and it took a while.

We went opening weekend. This area is starved for restaurants, good restaurants so we were excited to try this new place. The decor is lovely. Very well done. We went for lunch on a Saturday and the staff was very pleasant when we arrived. We had a wonderful table in the front of the restaurant near the bar. Our waiter was very nice, but needed to brush up on the menu a bit more. We ordered a burger and a beef sandwich . The burger was overcooked and did not have what I ordered on it. My husband's beef sandwich was very dry and the roll very hard. Fries were yummy exempt that we had ordered baked beans. The server had to make several trips back to the kitchen to accommodate us. We decided that the place was new and they needed to work out a few things with the kitchen. We decided to try it again, since we really want the place to do well. This time, the server was more familiar with the menu and very pleasant. Again, I ordered the burger and it did not come out with the toppings I asked for. My husband ordered the burrito, which looked more like a wrap. It said on the menu it should be in a red and green tortilla. It was a wrap. He ordered it with pork and it came out with chicken instead. He had ordered the baked beans and it came with fries. My daughter's meal came with fries and two tater tots underneath (bonus!). Not good. We are going to wait a while before going back. The bar is beautiful and I would consider coming here for a drink. I really hope the food and service gets better. I want this place to do well. The area needs this.

I had such high hopes for this place, especially since there's not much else around. 5 of us went on St. Patty's Day & they were slammed but we were eager to try, so we stayed for the 30 min wait. That was our 1st mistake. I fully understand that they just opened but even with us being as hungry as we were, all 5 of us could barely eat the cold, burnt food that they served us. $120 later, we were all so disappointed & hungry that we ended up going to Acme to get dessert! On a positive note, the place looked great, you'd never know that it used to be a Blockbuster!

EXCEPTIONALLY BAD due to EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. You are making a mistake if you think you are going to enjoy an evening at Liberty Union. I'll grant that the food is good, but it was very upsetting waiting to get a table while others came in after us and were seated before us. We waited 45 minutes. After being seated it took awhile before the waitress came over, then another 15 minutes before we got any drinks. We watched others get seated after us and complete their meals before we got any food. This place has serious problems with their service and their BAD MANAGEMENT. This was not the only time we had bad service here. This was our second time and both times it was the same thing - others getting served before us who came in after us. The management should care about their customers, so even though they had a dinner promotion, for us it turned out to be a DISASTER. We will not be returning again and I suggest that you save yourself the trouble and not eat here.

This was a great dining experience. Food was really good and very family friendly. Service was a little slow but to be expected in first few weeks. Plan to go back soon.

Extremely dissapointed in this place. For being so excited to have a new restaurant opening in this area, Liberty Union will leave a sour taste in your mouth. Aside from being completely overpriced for mediocre food, plan to wait 45min to an hour for a simple appetizer. Understandable that this is a new business, but being open for almost 3 months now, there is no reason that they should still be "working out the bugs", especially when it comes to the menu. The food is inconsistent, and rarely cooked properly. On more than one occassion i was given DIRTY silverware, which is not only disgusting, but completely unnacceptable. The only positive thing I can add is that the bar is beautiful, with a great selection of beers, but that alone is not enough to make me ever want to eat here again. Save your money, go somewhere else.

I hope it gets better. Overpriced. Don't expect much from the food. Went with friends for dinner on the Sunday before Labor Day. Sat at a table in the bar area. Arrived at 5:00 and there wasn't anyone in the dining areas. Went to sit at a bar table and a female bartender told us we could't b/c there would be entertainment setting up. No problem, we moved on to another table. What bugged me was I heard a male bartender tell the female one that there wouldn't be entertainment b/c of it being a holiday weekend and she didn't bother to tell us (that we could sit at the original table). Waitress was prompt and friendly. She answered questions about beer, drinks and food. No problem with her. Good selection of beer, as noted in other reviews. The four of us shared the tater tot app. Pretty good. We finished 'em. My wife had a spinach salad with chicken (The Liberty Union). "Not memorable." Looked pretty basic. I had the burger with Red, White and Blue burger. Asked for it medium and it was well done. The server said the cole slaw was homemade, but it was nothing special. Our friends got a burger that was fine and the chiccken fingers that overcooked. For dessert, both couples got the oversized chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream. The cookies were well-done/burnt.

Really nice place in an area that needs good spots for casual dining, Music and a cool bar to hang at....

Never got to eat here. Today we decided to give this place a try for dinner. We walked in and no one was around, we waited and waited... and waited some more. We finally turned around and left. If this is how they run the place, then I don't even want to try the food, plenty of other places around.

Over priced, food sucks as well as service. Plenty of other local spots to go that are reasonably priced with great food and have compitent employees. Also, it's full of bar fly regulars that fill up the tiny parking lot. You'll have to park across the street at the bank or Acme. Bypass this place.

I really, really like this place. Really, guys. I'm not sure what all the hate is for, but I think their 5-7pm happy hour is stellar. $4 craft beers, $5 house wines, and cheap flatbreads/wings. The food is tasty and well portioned, and the service was fine. Nothing wrong with it here!

The place is very nice, love the atmosphere. Made reservation for Mother's Day brunch. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. The selection for brunch was amazing. Food was very good as well but all very lukewarm to almost cold. Our omelette ticket may have gotten lost because we waited over 20 mins for one to come out but it was a holiday so it's understandable. The service well so so. Friendly enough but slow for refills and clearing plates. Will return to check out regular menu in future

(5)Jeffrey L.

Cheers
(5)Luke M.
(5)James W.
I've had probably 5 meals here and I like it. Service and food have both been good. Not sure what the haters on here are on about. I'm going back again tonight.
(3)Andrew B.
Complainers love to complain. There's a great beer selection, my hamburger was great, but the waitstaff was a bit lacking, but all and all, great time. And my apartment is close by, making the aroma very alluring. I love this place!
(5)Moira H.

Good Food, Beer and service. Have been here 3 times now and would go again. However the parking here is horrible...

(5)kevin s.

(5)Stephanie P.
Yuk!
(2)Joseph P.
(1)Michael K.
Had the jerk chicken with rice and veg, wife had the Mahi taco...food was great, nice clean place...good craft beer list...also good service. ..no complaints. ..will be back. ..

(4)M G.
(4)K E.

Love Carl & Jason...

(3)David F.
(3)Risa M.
(2)Jeff T.
Enjoy!!
(5)Phillip F.
We went on a Saturday night to hear Good to Go, a duo that are friends of ours. They sounded great!!! The food was good, Rueben sandwich was thick and tasty, the fries were a bit underdone though. The service was very good. We will go back.
(4)Tess S.
We enjoyed a night out with friends at Liberty Union. My salad was perfect. Maybe a little overpriced, but the service was great, and we were with good company.
(4)Kelly P.
(4)Sydney P.
Love the complementary tator Tots. The tomato soup is good but I was pissed to see that the fried mozzarella in it didn't even have any cheese inside. It was just fried breading. I used to look forward to that in the soup the most but now I won't go back.
(3)Tricia P.
(4)Gary C.
Been there three times and sat at a table in the bar area every time. Food is typical burger fare you expect at a place like this. On the good side. Good beer selection. Nothing exceptional to note, good or bad.
(3)Timothy M.
Located on the site of a former Blockbuster, this is a very nice bar and grill near Ludwig. The terrace over-looks the street and gives the casual drinker a good view of the traffic. Very clean interior and competent staff.
(4)Larry G.
(2)Alex C.
(3)Doug J.
We will go back
(4)Alec P.
Food is tasty, service was not good. Causal and a little loud.
(3)Fred S.
(2)Maryann S.
Love, Love, Love this place! A real Feel- good atmosphere and did I mention the food is FABULOUS! I can't wait to go back! Yum, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Maryann S
(5)Abby R.
Really good. The fish tacos were great, and are available grilled instead of fried. Very tasty rice on the side. Excellent service. Atmosphere a little cold/stiff, but the food and service more than make up for it.
(4)Kate M.

Love the new menu. The Pilgrim burger is off the hook. Great atmosphere excellent service. This is quickly become one of our favorite places to go.

A really bad experience food was horrible and the ambience was worse . Stay away and spend ur money elsewhere

Everything is always good here! The kids love it, they are even at the point where they have memorized their favorites off the menu!
